Microwaving Brownies and Cookies
How are cookies and biscuits prepared in a microwave?
In baking biscuits and cookies, use a tray that is microwave safe. Then set the oven at 80% power for a baking time of 8 to 10 minutes.
What is the right way to bake brownies and cakes in a microwave or convection cooking?
Many have been trying to prepare brownies, cakes and other baked recipes through the microwave. However, a common complaint is that it has either become a cookie or too dry. The proper way to prepare brownies and cakes in an oven is to have a batter that is a little thicker than the usual cake. If you have not been doing this, you can loosen the batter by adding milk and yoghurt to your mixture so that it will cook evenly and not just the edges or the top portion.
Microwave Features or Brands
What are the features to look out for in a microwave that would be suitable for most of the baking recipes?
If you want to bake a lot, look for a microwave that has a convection mode. Today, all microwave ovens both have a convection and grill mode. You may also opt for a single Microwave if you do not want additional features.
Is there a specific brand of microwave that is highly recommended?
IFB microwaves are the best ones. The brands with similar features are Samsung, LG and Whirlpool so you can choose from any of these.
Microwave Vessels or Bakewares
Is it ok to use metals in a microwave, convection or grill microwave?
In convection and grill mode, it is fine because the microwave does not work as one in these modes due to the absence of microwave rays. However, if you are using the microwave in baking and cooking mode, you should only use bowls and plates that are microwave safe.
What are microwave safe vessels?
Is everything aside from metal safe for microwave use? Utensils that can be used for a microwave are usually labeled “microwave proof” such as glass ware. Metals and plastic are not suitable for microwave ovens.
